The SECRET life of secret bloggers.

So. Meg, Carrie, and I are now secret bloggers. Yep. It's true. AND WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!! Much of the stuff we will end up writing on here won't make any sense to anybody else except ourselves but, therein lies the beauty of it. I suppose we'll make exceptions for only the best of the best to see these. Maybemaybe.

My blog title, "Know that I would fight the tides to be together," comes from a Sanctus Real song called, "Alone." It's a good one. Speaking of song lyrics, that is how I am going to end this first post. It's an older, but absolute favorite of mine. Now matter how many times I hear it, it never gets old. Ironically, it is called, "Growing Old" by The Roosevelts. TMN! TMN! Here's the chorus:

"I know it's told, it's uncool growing old.
Well, it's not so bad. But we'll say!
We don't look down on all that is changing.
Our hometown is always aging.
And so are we, so why not believe, we're changing as we should.
So hold on tight to all you remember.
We can find, we're moving forward.
It's time to go. We want to know, we're changing for the good."

The last line always hits me. That's what a lot of life boils down to for me. Once you have it in your power to make something of yourself, GO OUT AND DO IT!! But, somehow be sure and know that who you are and who you're becoming is someone you will not be ashamed of- that you have changed for the good. What's the best way to do that? I have found that putting your trust and loyalty in a few key people that will help keep you accountable is perhaps one of the most valuable things you can do. Meggie. Carrie. And very few others-you guys are those people for me. And for that alone, I am entirely grateful and truly blessed.

"It's time to go. We want to know, we're changing for the good."
